Polish-American Fantasy: Gala of XXI International Chopin and Friends Festival of New York Dance and Innovations

Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall, 154 W 57th St, New York

The strong Poland-US relationship and shared commitment to freedom date back to the American Revolution, when Polish leaders such as Tadeusz Kosciuszko and Casimir Pulaski aided the cause. Poland’s recovery of independence in 1918 was greatly supported by President Wilson’s Fourteen Points and the United States became the first country to recognize independent Poland in 1919. This gala concert celebrates 100 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries with Polish and American music and performers.
